Are you looking for cheap driving lessons in Fleet, Farnborough and Aldershot? Or are you looking for the best value driving lessons?
There is a difference!
The cheapest driving lessons are not always the best value!
I am Mike Ward, owner and driving instructor at MSM - Mirrors School of Motoring. I offer driving lessons in Fleet, Farnborough and Aldershot.
I do NOT offer cheap lessons - in fact if you are comparing driving lesson prices you will probably find that my lesson prices appear to be amongst the most expensive in the area. Yet all the happy people shown on the right (plus many more) have chosen me as their driving instructor.
Some of the cheap driving lesson offers you will see appear too good to be true - so they probably are! The trouble with comparing driving lesson prices is that you have no way of knowing whether you will learn as much in 1 hour with driving instructor A as with driving instructor B.
Will you spend the whole hour driving or will you spend most of it parked up in "fuel saving mode" while the instructor shows you diagrams?
Will your driving instructor be a fully qualified instructor (displaying a green octagonal badge in the windscreen) or a partly trained trainee (displaying a pink triangle badge). Be aware that most trainees fail the qualification and then have to stop teaching - will you have to change instructors part way through your driving lessons?
Are you really looking for the cheapest 1 hour driving lesson, or the best value course of driving lessons to teach you to drive up to and beyond your driving test?
Consider this - the DVSA (who run the driving tests) say that the average pupil takes 47 hours of lessons before passing their test. If the average is 47 hours then some will be taking many more than 47 hours. The average for my pupils is 27 hours.
Suppose you went with "cheap" lessons at £24 per hour and you take the "average" of 47 hours - that would cost you £1128 for driving lessons.
Now suppose you took lessons with me at £33.50 per hour and took my average of 27 hours - that would cost you only £905 - so which is best value? - the £24 driving lesson or the £33.50 driving lesson? Should you be searching for cheap driving lessons in Fleet, Farnborough and Aldershot? Or should you be searching for good value driver training?
I also offer a FIXED PRICE "ALL IN" course for those wanting to fix the overall cost at the beginning of their lessons for easier budgeting - see PRICES for details.
The best way to choose a driving instructor is to go by recommendation NOT by price. Please see my reviews from previous pupils below and on the SUCCESSES page.
